In this employee spotlight, we shine a light on Taylor Nall, a talented Data Engineer at Sonobi. With a passion for continuous learning and a dedication to optimizing data reporting and revenue for mobile apps, Taylor brings valuable contributions to the team.

Meet Taylor Nall!

Data Engineer

Taylor’s role as a Data Engineer at Sonobi involves various responsibilities aimed at ensuring accurate data reporting and resolving discrepancies. On a typical day, he verifies that mobile apps data has been properly loaded and confirms that it reports as expected within different rollups. In addition to these tasks, Taylor collaborates with multiple teams to identify solutions that optimize reporting and maximize revenue for mobile apps.

One recent project that Taylor’s team has been working on is focused on cost reductions for the mobile apps platform. While several teams are involved in this project, Taylor’s team was specifically tasked with the conversion of existing scripts and their migration to a new architecture similar to JetStream.

When asked about his favorite thing about Sonobi, Taylor said it’s the endless learning opportunities! Hey, we love that answer because we take growth seriously around here! At Sonobi, the company’s commitment to fostering growth and development allows employees like Taylor to continuously expand their knowledge and skills. The dynamic environment at Sonobi provides a platform for employees to thrive and stay ahead in the rapidly evolving field of data engineering.

Taylor takes pride in his achievements during his time at Sonobi. Apart from providing enhancements and new reporting datasets to analysts, he considers learning Python to be his biggest accomplishment. By acquiring proficiency in this coding language, Taylor has gained a better understanding of the possibilities in processing big data. This knowledge empowers him to develop innovative solutions and deliver data-driven insights that drive business growth.

It can’t be all work and no play around here, and Taylor knows the importance of work-life balance. With summer currently in full swing, you can find him on local Kansas City golf courses, spending quality time with his wife and daughter at the pool, or savoring the joy of grilling out while enjoying a cold beverage in hand.
